Are Spontaneous Erections a Normal Part of Sexuality?
An erection is basically a hardening of the penile spongy tissue that occurs when specialized sponge-like tissues within the penis fill with blood. Typically, an erection is caused by the penile spongy tissue to expand and stick out of the body. Erections will go away once ejaculation or the release of seminal fluid through the urethra; sometimes, however, erections may continue for a longer period of time after ejaculation.
The onset of sexual maturity marks the beginning of one’s pubescent years and advances in sex capability typically follow. The duration of an erection can last anywhere from just a few seconds to as long as half an hour, but an average erection lasts anywhere from four to eight hours. This means that many men get erections throughout the day.
Erections are caused by the regulation of three major factors: the nervous system, sympathetic nervous system and autonomic nervous system. Erections are actually the outcome of a complex interaction of these three major systems and the interaction of several minor mechanisms. The sexual activity and arousal process trigger the secretion of two key hormones, epinephrine and vasopressin, which are essential for sexual arousal and consequent erection. When these hormones are released, they travel through the bloodstream to the erectile tissue, where they activate the nervous system and sympathetic nervous system to produce the necessary reaction to getting erections.
In some men, although the basic mechanism is the same, there are multiple causes of erectile dysfunction. It is important to identify the cause of erectile dysfunction so you can get erections and maintain them throughout your life. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, be sure to consult with a healthcare provider as soon as possible.
One of the more common causes of erectile dysfunction is premature ejaculation, which may require a visit to a PE treatment center for premature ejaculation. In this case, there is a delay in ejaculatory release or the ability to get an erection to the point of fullness and firmness. Premature ejaculation usually occurs after three months of sexual intercourse. This problem is particularly common with younger men who are still learning how to properly control their erection. While it can be fixed through simple exercises or other methods, if it goes untreated, it can eventually lead to complete inability to get erections, even when using a lubricant.
Spontaneous erections occur when a man is not having erection problems and may cause no ill effects. Occasionally, these erections do cause problems. If they are severe, you may experience excessive soreness and may have bleeding at the head of the penis or between the scrotum and the penis. If you find that your erections are blood stained, this is also a sign that you may have a more serious condition.
An erection is basically a hardening of a penis that usually happens when sponge-like soft tissue inside the male penis fills with blood. At times, an erection may also lead to the enlargement of the penis and rise away from the body. Erections may go on their own during sleep or after release of semen through the urethral opening, the tiny hole at the end of the male penis. Or, some men experience “orgasms” which can cause the vagina to dilate, which then creates a bigger erection.
There are many possible reasons why an erection may occur in the morning, but a usual cause is the spongy tissues within the corpora cavernosa that forms the spongy plug that holds the blood in the chambers inside the penile shaft. This spongy tissue, also known as the corpora cavernosa, can become slightly swollen because of physical stress, such as welding, masturbation, or during sex without a condom on. When an erection occurs, more blood rushes into the penile chambers through the corpora cavernosa due to increased blood flow caused by sensitivity in this area. As a result, the spongy tissue becomes larger, which gives an erection.
Many men try different techniques to get erections, such as wearing a tight non-padded shirt, lying down, using a special condom, and so forth. Some men have found that performing aerobic exercises before sex improves the ability to get erections. If you keep your penis in a flaccid state for a few minutes before having sex, it also increases the possibility of getting one. This has been shown by many studies.
It is possible to get erections even when you are not sexually excited. One of these methods involves masturbating without the use of a condom. All you have to do is focus on your penis and imagine that it is being completely covered with a pink sheet. Start masturbating yourself, and when you feel the urge to urinate, do so. This causes the blood vessels to contract and form a bubble inside of your penis. Once you are able to ejaculate, you will no longer be able to maintain an erection because the blood vessel bursts and you will ejaculate as a normal part of sexual arousal.
Another way to get a full-fledged erection without having to wait until a sexual arousal is over is by focusing on a single point in time while masturbating. By using the muscles that control erection in your penis, you can make your penis hard and long enough to last throughout the night-time. However, it is important to remember that an erection lasting more than eight hours does not necessarily indicate healthy functioning of reproductive organs. A longer erection does not necessarily mean that you will have more successful sexual intercourse.
In order to prevent frequent erections in the first place, it is advisable to start taking care of your health at an early age. Make sure that you eat a healthy diet that is rich in protein at a very young age. Also, start practicing masturbating before puberty to help you develop the muscles in your penis that will assist it to stay erect for a longer period of time. If you already have developed strong erections at a younger age, it is still advisable to take care of your health and stay away from excessive sexual activity. Remember, having erections once a week does not necessarily mean that you will have strong erections all throughout your life.
